Meet the Trainer

Jason Smith – Lead Automotive Technical Trainer

With over 34 years of experience in the automotive repair sector, Jason Smith brings a wealth of knowledge and practical insight to every training session. Having worked across Fast-Fit centres, Franchise Main Dealers, and independent workshops, Jason is a highly qualified Master Technician specialising in diagnostics and technician mentoring.

Currently an active MOT Tester, Jason ensures his knowledge stays current with evolving standards and technologies.

For over 12 years, Jason has focused on automotive education, training, and assessment. In his previous role as a Technical Curriculum Developer for a national manufacturer apprenticeship programme, he was instrumental in shaping high-quality training content for aspiring technicians.

A passionate advocate for education and Continuous Professional Development (CPD), Jason is an IMI member with Advanced Automotive Engineer status, dedicated to raising industry standards and empowering the next generation of professionals.
