Who is it for?

This Defra-approved qualification is designed for experienced automotive Mobile Air Conditioning (MAC) technicians who need to meet the minimum F-gas requirements set by EC842/2006 and Annex EC307/2008.

About the Course

All MAC technicians working with cars and car-derived vans must hold a refrigerant handling qualification that complies with EU F-gas regulations.

This qualification provides the necessary certification.

Assessment

Learners will be assessed on their knowledge of F-gas regulations through:

• A practical assessment
• An external online test

Course Options

Option 1: Refresher & Assessment

Designed for experienced technicians or those with expired accreditation. This option offers a refresher on current legislation, procedures, and best practices, followed by the F-gas assessment.

Option 2: Comprehensive Training & Assessment

Ideal for those seeking professional development through a more in-depth learning experience. This option includes comprehensive training covering theory and practical skills, followed by the F-gas assessment.
